Oh my goodness it's so hot. It was so hot on stage just now I was DYING. I hate wearing jeans for gigs!

Thank you to the people who came down just now; let's see if I can remember all correctly... in no order of merit okay? Syafiq, Kamal, Shukur, Liza, Jasmine, Luvenia, Fatimah, Alson, Daniel, Edward, Farhan, Alim, Amali, and Zaki! Yes! Did I forget anyone? :) Thanks guys, it really really made my day. And thanks Liza for the rose! HAHA so happy :)

The set was great. I made mistakes, but I think it wasn't too bad. In fact no one seemed to realise there were mistakes. HAHA. Maybe they were just pretending, but I don't care. :D I'm so happy, I just don't care.

I realised just now, playing onstage, beside my sister, sweating under the spotlight, with people I care for and who care for me, cheering us on... I realised, that is where I want to be. Playing isn't hard. Playing well isn't hard either. But performing is something else... You can't play to your guitar and hope people will like it... You actually have to look up and smile and be confident that your fingers know the song and the guitar so well you don't need to worry about them missing the fret or forgetting the playing... And for me that's a big problem... I am not a very confident bassist, you can ask my sister or Andrew. The first time I played with them, in Dec 2008, I was staring at my bass the whole time, I didn't dare look up... And I took one step away from the spot where I was playing, played a wrong note, and didn't dare move again... It's only now that I have managed to loosen up and be more comfortable on stage. I wonder how far I will have to go before I can play like Mike Dirnt (who is TEH AWESOME). Or the bassist from Simple Plan, duno what his name is. They can all jump around like mad fools. I am still trying to move! Oh well.

The nicest part of just now was my mum saying to me that she thinks I have a great gift for music. :) At least now I know I'm doing something right.

The other day we went jamming at this new-ish studio near Arab St. It was pretty cool, and quite frankly the best studio I've ever been to in terms of equipment. Only thing missing is a Trace Elliott amp, but I'll be getting that when we play at the Esplanade Waterfront so I won't complain. Anyway we're going back there tomorrow - looking forward to it. I feel so.. I duno, professional playing there. It's like, hey, we're not in some el-cheapo shack with instruments that are falling apart, we're in an ACTUAL STUDIO. The doors even have frickin security codes and whatnot. And a waiting area. I mean, like an actual waiting area, one that looks like a doctor's office or sth. I guess the downsides are the price ($22/hr) and the location (have to walk abt 10 min from Bugis MRT). But you win some, you lose some, I guess.

What is CNY really about? Family? Money? Oranges? Watching lame shows on TV? Talking to people you only see once a year but wish you'd never see? Enduring stupid questions about when you'll get married when you don't even have a partner? ... Kinda glad I don't have to celebrate CNY. The only thing I celebrate about it is the getting to sleep in two days in a row. Believe me, that is something to celebrate.

I reached a new level on FF7:CC. I got the Graviga materia I've been (literally) dying (over and over) to get! And if you have no idea what I'm talking about, it just means you're not an FF7:CC freak, so don't worry. I don't know what it is about CC. I love the storyline, I love the characters (and am beginning to think I love Zack more than Cloud :X) and I know it's just a video game. But sometimes when people say "It's just XXX" about the thing(s) you love, you'll just reply, SO WHAT? Playing CC makes me happy. And sometimes I think life would be quite, quite different if we were all allowed to return to the beginning every time we make a stupid mistake.

The capital of Mongolia is Ulaanbaatar. I am fascinated by the number of 'a's in that name.

In other news, there is a long weekend coming up and I intend to spend it sleeping and marking. Had course today on counselling - so many teachers were complaining about the things that bother them. I think many teachers are saddened by the fact that no one seems to give us credit for what we can do, they only ever look at the stuff we cannot manage. Oh well. I guess life is like that. Doesn't mean people shouldn't change their ways of thinking though.

Tomorrow I am going shopping. I don't care. I have waited very long for tomorrow. In other other news, Eugene's steamboat was cancelled. I was sad and annoyed with the people who pulled out. But then I remembered I'm going shopping, so I am not going to let that get me down.

I have also realised right now I am very tired of caring what other people think. In the end, who cares what I think? I mean seriously? I am just going to do what makes me happy, and if other people have got things to say they can get stuffed. Shove it where the sun doesn't shine, I'm not interested in pandering to your whims and fancies. Come looking for me only when you need me, then otherwise forget that I exist, then get upset when I have other things to do that are more important than you.

By the way, Pervy Boy has a gig coming up. The date was originally 5 March, but the Esplanade people changed it to 7 March :( I hope you guys can still make it down. It's at the Esplanade Waterfront at 7pm and it's totally free. Please do come and support. Bring your friends and family. This is a big thing for us and we hope to have as many of our fans there as possible. :)

There was a cute guy at my course today. But I don't even know his last name! So sad. I love nerds. Correction - I love cute nerds. Nerdy nerds are a bit... not my type.

I'm going to type out my song now. Hope I can get it recorded so you guys can listen. I'm quite proud of it. Haven't written a proper song since Happy Juice.

I don't have many neurons in functioning mode right now, so I shall just mention a few things worth noting.

1. OMG 7t3 ROCKS MY SOCKS. I love you guys. You are the best. (For those not in the know, 7t3 includes the following lovely people:

- minnie my moneylender wife (backup vocals)

- nicholas my beloved (rhythm guitarist)

- yewliang my gay b&^!$ (keyboardist)

- wei ping (ping ping!) (drummer)

- melvyn my dear kitty cat (bassist), and

- lincoln my hero (who is also my ling ling!) (lead guitarist). OMG!)

2. The gig on Tues with Pervy Boy and Dezygote rocked. The studio was small and crampish, and 4 airconditioning units WERE NOT ENOUGH (I was sweating like a pig), but omytian. The audience was kickass! They cheered for every song! They headbopped! They waited like 15 million years before the LCube people would let them in! They bought Pervy Boy goodies! :D

3. Well since then I have almost died several times trying to finish marking, but thankfully all has been done and completed and I can focus on getting through last week of school. Cos I am leaving for Spain in a week. OMG! A WEEK! *panicks* Never pack! Must bring along lesson prep for Term 3! Oh noes!

4. But in the meantime, I am thinking of buying a netbook (to bring to Spain).

5. There is also another Pervy Boy performance on Sun (24 May), 4pm at Vivo, if anyone's interested and bored. :) It's free.

6. I think I had better go sleep, before I completely lose the ability to sleep.

Pervy Boy is having a private gig on Tuesday 19 May, at 730pm, specially for students of Yuhua! Tickets are $2 per head, and the venue is L-Cube Jamming Studios, at 145A Jalan Besar. Click here for the map.

DETAILED INSTRUCTIONS ON GETTING TO L-CUBE

1. The MRT closest to it is Farrer Park; come out and walk down Rangoon Road till you reach Serangoon Road.

2. Kitchener Road should be directly ahead: walk down Kitchener Road till you hit Jalan Besar. Turn right.

3. Walk down Jalan Besar. Pass Sam Leong Road (on the right) and Maude Road (on the left).

4. Pass Syed Alwi Road, Desker Road and Rowell Road (all on your right).

5. You will see some shophouses after Rowell Road: walk past those till you reach another side road (which is Hindoo Road).

6. There is a coffeeshop there which sells bak ku teh (according to my sister). Walk past the coffeeshop to a small door at the side (looks like it's the coffeeshop toilet). It will say L-CUBE JAMMING STUDIOS. Yay!

Reason why you should come for Rockin' Night Out:

That's right pretty people, several talented musicians from 4E5 (and one from 4E7 ^^) have been conned into performing with ME. Muahahaha! For some complex mathematical reason we are known as 7t3; for detailed explanation involving A Maths textbook and calculator, pls see Ms Minnie Tay Hui Min. Anyway we are doing two covers, along with another funky band some of you may know as Dezygote (did I spell it right this time?). For $2 you get to watch 3 bands. How value-for-money can you get? :D

In other news, I am playing with the band on Tuesday's show, after a decade of dinging and donging back and forth between can-play and cannot-play. =.=" If you want tickets, send an email to livenloaded at mediacorptv dot com, and put your subject as TICKETS FOR LIVENLOADED. Of course you have to check that your parents are allowing you to go, duh.

I tried sending an email asking them for tickets but the swines haven't got back to me, so if you guys want tickets better don't rely on me this time. Just send them the email and bug them till they give in. LOL.

And if your parents don't want you to go (cos the show is at 830pm - I remembered wrongly, pai seh - and the next day is a school day), fair enough. Just watch the show on TV! :P

I neglected to mention earlier that Pervy Boy has entered a competition organised by Mediacorp, called Live 'N' Loaded. Basically you vote for the band you want to see live on TV. You can open up an account and vote a maximum of 10 times a day. And since I am temporary bassist for PB, if we get the spot you will see me make a fool of myself on national television! It was so nice to go back to school today. Not that I actually find registering a bunch of lost Sec 1s fun, but it was nice to see my students. :D Eunice and Shannon were so efficient while helping me with registration. And the boys were there too: Eugene, Klinton, Rahul, Jun De, NICHOLAS (who scolded me for taking a Sec 1 form class, WHICH I HAVEN'T, neh neh) and my favourite vice head prefect Lincoln. :) And of course my dear Melvyn, who called himself Miss Vanderstraaten. (Actually he called himself Mr Straaten as well. I think he is confused and thinking that he is my father. Poor deluded child.)

Anyway I'm late to go and see Amanda and Minnie (whose birthday is today; HAPPY BIRTHDAY MINNIE~) but I wanted to say:

1. Pervy Boy has a gig tomorrow which they scored at the super last-minute, and
2. Adam is no longer playing for them :(((((((((((, so
3. I am playing for them tomorrow. Bass. I'm quite crappy so if you want to see me make a fool of myself, we're playing at the Youth Park around 7 or 8pm. Oh and Pervy Boy merchandise will be on sale! If you want to get t-shirts, badges or stickers, by all means come and get them. Since the band (most of them) will be around you can get autographs too! :D Except mine la. You will only ever see my autographs on your report books. LOL.

Ok I'm late. They're going to kill me. They were waiting outside school LOL. Sorry girls. I shall fly there now!

So yesterday Pervy Boy played at the ACRES roadshow to help raise awareness of the plight of animals around us. We had to wait really long in the sun though - and the band kept drinking to cool themselves down, so by the time we went on everyone was slightly drunk. Haha.

Cheers to the cheerleading team who came down! Linda, Amanda, Sheryl and Minnie who refused to be in the photo because she has some weird phobia of cameras. Strange girl.

Finally there is a video from our side, of Pervy Boy at the Avril concert. There is another one which some person put up titled 'Pervy Boy Sucked!' and it was less than 30s of the band performing. And the person wrote in the video summary how terrible we were, blah blah etc etc. PLEASE DON'T GO SEE THE VIDEO, if only so that the person's video views don't increase any further. I mean, seriously? Pervy Boy sucked? And you put up a 30s-clip that, oh, DOESN'T PROVE ANYTHING?

(Ok. Can feel myself getting angry. Shall not comment further.)

By the way, there has been some progress on the blogskin front. Juwina's done one, and Yew Liang and Ai Poh have both offered their expertise (yay!). And thanks JL and Lincoln, even if one doesn't know how to do and the other has no time to do it :D How about this - Yew Liang, you design for my blog, Ai Poh you design for the band blog instead? Cos the Pervy Boy blog is quite sad and boringly black. It would be trés cool if they had their own customised blogskin too.

Sigh. I have to mark now. Bye.

(P.S. You shouldn't be out and about tomorrow afternoon, but I just wanted to tell you Pervy Boy is playing at 4pm outside The Cathay (the one near Plaza Sing). You should be studying! HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINCOLN!!!!!!!!!

Yeah okay, the day's pretty much over but I hope it was a good day for you nonetheless. :D

I spent today writing remarks for people's report cards. So fun! Not. Actually it is, the not-fun part is making sure I have 100+ words per person. That's like 4000 words in total. More than a uni-level essay (which is usually 2500). Gargh.

I don't know who or how many of you I told. But Avril Lavigne's concert tonight at the Singapore Indoor Stadium will have several pervy guests.

You guessed it - the opening band for the Best Damn Tour - Avril Lavigne Live in Singapore - is none other than our favourite

PERVY BOY!!!!!!!!

Yup the concert is tonight and the Pervs have been practising non-stop. Everybody's totally psyched, especially Derek who wants to shower with Avril (what a perv!). Anyway we have a couple of people taking photos and videos for us, so when that's uploadable I'll link it here. :D

In the meantime, hope everyone is ready for another 3 weeks of lessons before the exams start. I hope I'm ready. Haha. (Sorry. Brain not functioning at optimal level - jamming ended at 145 this morning. Ahaha. Haha. Ok not funny.)

... to come and watch them when they perform this Sunday at the *scape Youth Park, diagonally across the road from Cineleisure Orchard. :D The band is performing as part of the Kallang Roar! Futsal Fiesta, a showcase for the movie Kallang Roar! which opens this Thursday. The Pervs are proud to support this cause because the marketing person is none other than our own beloved Derek (aka my cousin/guy with the white guitar/Pretty Perv).

So if you wanna come down and watch, Pervy Boy is up to play at 1:40pm. There'll even be a special guest performer (whom you know, tee hee). So come down this Sunday, 24th August for some free perviness and lots of great music. Pervy Boy rocks!

P.S. Ladies, I don't need to point out what great opportunity this would be to see your darlings again. Cameras would be an excellent accessory. ;)

GARGH.

Hema and Peiling are finally coming back to class tomorrow. Hema has no voice. It is highly amusing. :D I have missed them both. I also MISSED NICHOLAS YESTERDAY, the class was so quiet without him. I miss everybody in 3E5 when they don't come. Like yesterday Minnie also didn't come. I was very sad, because I am strange like that. Also when Wan Rong doesn't come I am very sad. :D Lol. Actually 'deprived' might be a more accurate word to use.
