I have never met another person so singularly uninterested in having anything to do with me.
Well done.

Oh my goodness it's so hot. It was so hot on stage just now I was DYING. I hate wearing jeans for gigs!
Thank you to the people who came down just now; let's see if I can remember all correctly... in no order of merit okay? Syafiq, Kamal, Shukur, Liza, Jasmine, Luvenia, Fatimah, Alson, Daniel, Edward, Farhan, Alim, Amali, and Zaki! Yes! Did I forget anyone? :) Thanks guys, it really really made my day. And thanks Liza for the rose! HAHA so happy :)
The set was great. I made mistakes, but I think it wasn't too bad. In fact no one seemed to realise there were mistakes. HAHA. Maybe they were just pretending, but I don't care. :D I'm so happy, I just don't care.
I realised just now, playing onstage, beside my sister, sweating under the spotlight, with people I care for and who care for me, cheering us on... I realised,
that is where I want to be. Playing isn't hard. Playing well isn't hard either. But performing is something else... You can't play to your guitar and hope people will like it... You actually have to look up and smile and be confident that your fingers know the song and the guitar so well you don't need to worry about them missing the fret or forgetting the playing... And for me that's a big problem... I am not a very confident bassist, you can ask my sister or Andrew. The first time I played with them, in Dec 2008, I was staring at my bass the whole time, I didn't dare look up... And I took one step away from the spot where I was playing, played a wrong note, and didn't dare move again... It's only now that I have managed to loosen up and be more comfortable on stage. I wonder how far I will have to go before I can play like Mike Dirnt (who is TEH AWESOME). Or the bassist from Simple Plan, duno what his name is. They can all jump around like mad fools. I am still trying to move! Oh well.
The nicest part of just now was my mum saying to me that she thinks I have a great gift for music. :) At least now I know I'm doing something right.

Do you know how weird it is to begin smiling at someone and then stop when you realise the person is not interested in smiling back? Your lips do a kind of twitch, you press them together so you don't look weird half-smiling, but then inside you feel like an idiot.

Yesterday when I went into 4N4 the first thing I saw was what someone had put on the notice board (OMG MS STRAATEN ROCKS!). And that was the only thing that made me smile all week.

Alison nagged me to update my blog before she graduates (she's in Sec 1 -.-) and so I am doing, but I guess I just ran out of nice things to say. Oh I can be nice, fake nice, and say school's wonderful, I'm having so much fun, etc etc bla bla, but that's
fake nice, which I'm not interested in being. So either you, my dear readers, have to put up with insufferable emo-ness, or I just don't blog till I find something I want to talk about.
Tag replies:
Bennie - Ya second. Now duno how many.
Wenhui - Thanks for the tag. Update your blog!
Gene - Ya la you are the first-class original one la.
Alison - Hello. I posted just for your benefit :)
Minnie - If I had 6 guitars in my house we wouldn't have to go JE for jamming haha. WP can play drum on everybody's head.
Liza - Thanks for the link. I will link you when I am more inclined. :)
Sheryl - My name is Joy Foo! Meet my sister Sin!

HAHAHAHA yesterday was so fun. I love the view from that house! But I bet the mosquitoes are killers. I realise we cannot have Eugene, Lincoln, Cedric, Melvyn and Minnie (and me) in a house with 3 working guitars and 1 piano. Oh my tian the noise level generated. And the reaction from the guys when they heard...
Mrs K: Oh I have 6 guitars -
Guys: WOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!! (completely drowning out everything else)
Hahaha.
And then today was back to school. SIGH. But 4N3 (and 4N4) will be doing debates soon. YAY. Time for other people to talk themselves hoarse, and I sit back and listen (and laugh).
Is it that people are just never what they seem? Or is it that I am just very bad at reading others? It's come to a point where I don't even trust my own judgment about others anymore... Like my gut feelings about them seem to be right in the beginning, and then I realise I was wrong all along... Or maybe I give people too much credit? I don't know... I'm just tired of trusting people, believing in people, hoping in people. Every time I hope for something I never get it. So I don't have expectations anymore, because I hate having to handle disappointment. Am I chicken? Cowardly? I don't know... and I don't care, I guess. Self-preservation. If no one is going to look out for me (and they don't, even though they look like they do), then I have to look out for myself. And this is it.
I want to take up a wind instrument. Just for fun, since I play only string instruments now. If only they had ABRSM exams for bass guitar! Lol but I would probably fail that, seeing as I take 10 000 years to read bass clef :( Oh well. Anyone have a spare euphonium to lend me? :D
OH WAIT! HARMONICA IS WIND INSTRUMENT TOOOOOOO!!!!!!! Where's that Melvyn! Supposed to teach me from how long ago!
