First it was the Demented Chicken (Musarrat, where's my story?!). Then it was the Deranged Chipmunk, and then the Delusional Chimpanzee. Now, ladies and gentlemen, my blog name is the Discombobulated Chihuahua. (Go look it up. That's what the dictionary is for!)
Anyway I had two LONGGGGGG days in school, yesterday and today. And jamming tonight with 7t3! Nic and WP couldn't make it, but had fun with Mel, Lincoln and Minnie. Mel was doing weird impersonations of men with too-tight underwear and singing in very high pitches. LOL.
Tag replies: Minnie and Mel, linked you both =) (How come no one else tags anymore? Maybe no one reads my blog... all scared away by Genesis)
Anyway (again) I have a new form class next year. (Sob 4E5 '09!!!!!!!) But I know my new form class, and I am hoping they will be happy to get me as form teacher, so. :) Here's to a good new year with them, and with my EL and Lit classes. And with the Harmonica Band, of which I am now a teacher IC! Omytian, I am looking forward to 2010.
(but to my favourite class, my first loves, 4E5 '09, I will miss you always. You will always be in my heart.)
To everybody, whether you celebrate it or not, merry Christmas! =) (Btw, in the Catholic calendar, Christmas is a season, not only one day, so I technically can continue wishing everybody Merry Christmas till 10 Jan. Ho Ho Ho!)
Minnie, Merv and I were having a discussion which led me to think of my sons. Yes, I have "sons", several of them, all who insist upon calling me Mum and behaving in general like they are my offspring (eg. asking me for money, ignoring my advice, etc). Well some of them anyway :D So here's a family breakdown of the boys. Take note that the word "son" should come with inverted commas, but I'm lazy to put them in.
1. MY ELDEST SON Eugene Goh - followed me home (he's the first one to start calling me Mum =.=")
2. MY SECOND SON Cedric Yee - fell from the sky (heard Gene calling me Mum and also started; uses variations like Mummy and Mama =.=)
3. MY THIRD SON Zane Chan - picked up from rubbish bin (heard Ced calling me Mum and ALSO started; growl)
4. MY FOURTH SON Klinton Chow - legally adopted (actually I don't know why he started also; I think it was so he can ask me for money)
5. MY FIFTH SON Melvyn Ng - brought home by stray cat (he called me Mum by accident, and was promptly welcomed into the family)
6. MY SIXTH SON Mervvyn P.S. - chased into my house by angry Punjabis who accused me of being his mother (at least that's what he says; also called me Mum by accident, but it's better than him calling me Grandma which he used to)
It would be nice to have a "family" photo one day. That's if I don't keep amassing sons. And in case you're wondering why I don't have any daughters, I don't know. Apparently the girls do not find it as appealing to call me Mum. (Thank God!)
Yesterday I watched Bandslam with Merv, Minnie and Mel. 4Ms! Then we watched South Park and Fringe. Yay Fringe rocks. Then Minnie, Merv and I stood at the overhead bridge leading to Lakeside MRT and played That's Your Boyfriend (or in Merv's case, That's Your Girlfriend).
Yesterday was fun.
On Monday Pervy Boy went recording. Our new song (I still don't know the title) is going to be on some compilation for Noise Singapore, if I remember correctly. Anyway it's a nice song, and I'm glad I didn't mess up the bass part.
The more you hold on to something, the more it strains to be let free. The more you can't have something, the more you want it. The more you try to forget, the more you keep remembering.
My eyes are so tired, and Christmas still isn't over.
My feet are still aching from yesterday. Thank you Rahul for walking everywhere with me and listening to me whine about my feet. =)
To the YHCB people who read this, good job yesterday. I enjoyed it, especially the percussion pieces (but I am biased that way ^^). Rising Dragons rocked!
I realised that soon I cannot refer to the Sec 4s as, well, the Sec 4s. Hmm.
Anyway, here is a nice video for you to enjoy.
Animaniacs - Noel
To spell Santa's name is easy to do You write S A N T and another A too But no L, no L Santa's name has no L And he won't be too pleased if you don't learn to spell!
Jack and Jill went up the hill To fetch water from the well But when neither one could find it Jill started to yell, "No well? No well! Can't believe there's no well! We walked all the way here and I'm mad, can't you tell?!"
Captain Ahab took his crew, his harpoon and set sail And he called out to ships, "Have you seen the white whale?" "No whale, no whale, no we ain't seen no whale, Saw a couple of dolphins and a big yellowtail."
If you've listened to this tune then you probably can tell That you've heard it before, it's a song you know well Know well, know well, it's a song you know well And we've ruined it completely so we all say, "Oh well!"
Oh well, oh well We'll just say fare thee well Merry Christmas to you and a joyous Noel =)
I really don't think anybody reads my blog anymore.
Oh well.
I feel very strangled today, for some reason. Like I have all this emotion inside of me waiting to be let out, but I can't find the words, or think of what to say. Like there are invisible hands around my throat, choking me into silence.
In other news, I don't like wrapping presents. My wrapping average is 3 or 4 before I get bored and/or sleepy. And I can't wrap anything that isn't box-shaped. I HATE wrapping soft toys. Everything becomes a mess of scotch tape and badly-cut wrapping paper. And I have to sit on the floor and wrap stuff cos there's not enough space on the dining table, so my butt usually ends up hurting from that.
And I don't know why I'm talking about wrapping presents, really. Maybe because I have so many more to wrap, and I don't want to wrap any of them. I want to close my eyes and stop time. Because once Sunday comes, it goes... then Christmas will come, and go... and then New Year's will come, and go... and then it will be the first day of school again. And I don't feel like I've had a holiday at all. I don't. I feel as though I am living Yuhua all the time, always seeing YHSS people, and being either in the school itself or around it... And while I didn't mind in the beginning, I think maybe my brain is soon going to short-circuit because of it...
Someone said to me before that I was lucky to get 4E5 but unlucky to be in this school... I guess it depends how you look at it... I don't regret coming to YHSS at all, because of all the wonderful people I've met and the situations I've learnt valuable things from... But I think there will come a day when my YHSS experience will end, if only because I would have learnt all there is for me to learn from YHSS... I don't know when that day will come (and who will be around to see me through it) but I hope I will have the strength to walk away... because I usually never know how to let things go.
1. I changed the blogskin so that people would not automatically think they were at the wrong blog. Then again, this new skin isn't that much different from the previous, just that there's NO CLOUD ZOMG WHY. Will someone please make a nice Cloud skin for me?
2. I went shopping with my mom today. I bought a lot of things. I am now significantly poorer, but the good thing is that everything I bought was for other people. Well, most of it.
3. I found a bedbug crawling on me today. YUCKS! My father says I have to throw away everything, including my favourite pillow. Noooooo! &#^$*&# bedbugs!
4. My cats are so annoying. 4 out of 5 like to fight with each other (needless to say, all male cats), and the 5th likes to stand between me and the laptop screen, and if I try and move her she meows at me with her lethal fish breath.
5. My friend bought me a PSP for Christmas. ZOMG! I don't know why she's so happy to spend money on me, but I guess I'm not complaining. Asked her if I could change the colour though. LOL. Now everybody will want to be her friend too! Hahaha!
6. Tomorrow is another busy day - changing PSP, buying rest of Christmas presents, choir practice - but I am looking forward to being active and doing things that make a difference to other people. =) The other day we went carolling at Assisi Home and Hospice, and we sang "I'll Be Home For Christmas", which on hindsight probably wasn't the best of songs to sing there... But some of the people there were happy that we went... Just like when we went to Orange Valley and St Andrew's last year (which is why I missed last year's YHCB POP), and when we went to Orange Valley this year too - my sister said people were singing along and some of them even cried (though that could have been due to the quality of our singing :X).
Christmas is a good time to reflect... on what kind of person you are, who you've become... and whether you are who you're meant to be. But right now, it's very late... or early, so I am not going to reflect yet. :D
Argh cat tried to stand in front of laptop again! Annoying!
Why does everyone who sees this skin think they've come to the wrong blog? -.- Thought of changing skin cos the light-coloured font is bad for the eyes and I'm too lazy to fix the code, but I love my darling Cloud so I'm leaving him there for now.
In the meantime, I am preparing the Asknlearn stuff for 4N EL. Hurrah! Have yet to watch A Christmas Carol though.
I keep forgetting that Christmas is coming. Every time I go to school, I forget it's December already.
I wish there were another way to do this, but I guess sometimes the hard way IS the only way, if you ever want to really get what you want in the end. But who knows? Maybe I'll never get it in the end. My only wish is that everything will work out the way it's supposed to... and that he will be happy.
and i'll return to you somehow: 17:47
homeward bound

For some reason, I find this song immeasurably sad.
In the quiet misty morning, when the moon has gone to bed When the sparrows stop their singing and the sky is clear and red, When the summer's ceased its gleaming and the corn is past its prime, When adventure's lost its meaning I'll be homeward bound in time.
Bind me not to the pasture, Chain me not to the plow. Set me free to find my calling, and I'll return to you somehow.
If you find it's me you're missing, if you're hoping I'll return To your thoughts I'll soon be listening, and in the road I'll stop and turn. Then the wind will set me racing as my journey nears its end, And the path I'll be retracing as I'm homeward bound again.
Bind me not to the pasture, Chain me not to the plow. Set me free to find my calling, and I'll return to you somehow.
In the quiet misty morning, when the moon has gone to bed, When the sparrows stop their singing, I'll be homeward bound again.
